The everyday dentistry
One practice for the whole family
Almost everything else on this site — the root canals, the implants, the emergency appointments — exists because something was left too long. General dentistry is the part that stops that happening. A check-up and a cleaning twice a year, a small filling caught while it is still small, and a set of X-rays that finds the problem before you can feel it.
We see whole families at 955 Dairy Ashford, from a toddler’s first look-and-count through to grandparents. Dr. Kenneth Rosario leads the general and restorative side, so the person checking your teeth in March is the person filling one in September. Appointments run Monday to Saturday, which for most families in the Energy Corridor is the difference between going and meaning to go.
The other thing we do differently is tell you what everything costs before we start. Benefits are verified before you arrive, the plan is written down, and nothing appears on the invoice at the desk that you had not already agreed to.
What routine care covers
Everyday dentistry, done properly
Most visits use the first three. The rest are what we reach for when the check-up finds something, and they are all done here rather than referred elsewhere.
Check-ups and exams
A full look at teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues, including an oral cancer check. Usually every six months, more often if your gums need watching.
Every six months
Professional cleanings
Scaling and polishing to remove the hardened plaque a toothbrush cannot shift. This is the appointment that prevents most of the expensive ones.
The one that pays for itself
Digital X-rays
Low-dose digital images that show decay between teeth and around old fillings long before you feel anything. Taken only as often as your risk warrants.
Finds it early
Tooth-colored fillings
Composite fillings matched to your tooth shade, including replacing old dark ones. Nothing silver goes in a visible tooth here.
Matched to your shade
Sealants
A thin protective coating over the grooves of children’s back teeth, where most childhood decay starts. Quick, painless and no injection.
Mainly for children
Fluoride treatment
A varnish that strengthens enamel against decay. Included on the membership plan and particularly worthwhile for children and for adults with dry mouth.
Included on the plan
Gum health and deep cleaning
Bleeding gums treated early, and scaling below the gumline where gum disease has already started. Gum disease is the leading cause of adult tooth loss.
Do not ignore bleeding
Nightguards and mouthguards
A custom guard for grinding, or a sports guard for a child who plays contact sport. Both cost a fraction of repairing what they prevent.
Cheap insurance
New patients
What happens at your first visit
About an hour, and nothing is done to your teeth that you have not agreed to first.
Before you arrive
When you book
We take your insurance details on the phone and verify your benefits, so the figure you are quoted on the day is the figure you actually pay. If you do not have insurance we go through the membership plan then, not at the desk afterwards.
Exam and X-rays
About 20 minutes
A full set of digital X-rays and an examination of your teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues. We will ask what has been bothering you, and that answer usually shapes the rest of the appointment more than the X-rays do.
Your cleaning
About 30 minutes
Scaling and polishing, plus fluoride where it is useful. If your gums turn out to need deep cleaning rather than a routine scale, we will explain why and book it separately rather than doing it unannounced.
The written plan
Same visit
You leave with a plan on paper: what needs doing, what is optional, what each part costs and the order we would do it in. Nothing on it is a surprise later.
Treatment, when you are ready
Your choice
If something is urgent we will say so plainly. If it can wait, it waits. Nobody is pressured into booking the whole plan on the day, and there is no discount that expires by Friday.
Your recall
Usually six months
We remind you when the next check-up is due. Most people go every six months; some need three or four, and if you are in that group we will tell you why rather than just booking it.
Bringing children to the dentist
Children, by age
The goal for the first few years is not treatment. It is that your child decides the dentist is an ordinary, unremarkable place — because that belief is what carries them through their thirties.
By age 1
The first visit
Guidance is a first dental visit by their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. It is short, gentle and mostly about you rather than them.
Ages 2–5
Building the habit
Short, friendly visits every six months. At this age we are counting teeth and handing out stickers more than anything else, and that is deliberate.
Ages 6–12
Adult teeth arriving
The first permanent molars come through around six, right at the back where children brush worst. This is the age where a few minutes of prevention saves a filling.
Teens
Independence and orthodontics
Brushing usually gets worse before it gets better, and this is when aligners and wisdom teeth first come up. Teenagers respond much better when we talk to them rather than about them.
If it has been a while since you went
A good number of our patients arrive after five, ten, sometimes twenty years away. Usually because of one bad experience somewhere else, occasionally because of one bad appointment here in Houston. Either way, this is what happens.
Nobody is going to lecture you
We are not interested in how long it has been. We look at where things stand today and work forward from there. You are not the first person to sit down and say it has been ten years — not even the first this week.
The first visit is a look, not a marathon
Exam, X-rays and a plan. If you would rather not have any treatment on the day, say so when you book and we will keep it to that.
You will get the plan in order of urgency
What is actually a problem, what can wait a year, and what is only cosmetic. Being able to see that split is what makes a long list feel manageable instead of frightening.
Tell us if you are anxious
It changes how we run the appointment: more explanation, more breaks, slower pace, and sedation options if you want them. It helps far more than trying to tough it out silently.
Why families choose us
A dental visit built around your week
Getting a family to the dentist is a logistics problem before it is a clinical one. Most of what follows is about removing the reasons people cancel.
Six days a week
Monday to Friday plus Saturday, so a cleaning does not have to cost anyone a vacation day or a morning off school.
hey cost, including the ones that make us less money. You decide with the full picture in front of you.
Everyone in one office
Children, parents and grandparents seen at the same practice, often back to back. No second office across town for the kids.
Care under one roof
If a check-up finds something needing a root canal, an extraction or an implant, it is handled here by Dr. Rosario or Dr. Gandhi rather than referred across the city.
Benefits verified before you arrive
We check what your insurance actually covers ahead of the appointment, so the number you are told is the number you pay.
Costs explained before we start
Every plan is written down with prices. Nothing is added at the desk on the way out.
No pressure to book the whole plan
Urgent is called urgent and optional is called optional. There is no offer that expires on Friday.

Worth the arithmetic
Two exams, two cleanings, X-rays and a fluoride treatment on the membership plan come to $399 for the year — less than the cost of a single crown, and considerably less than one root canal on a molar that could have been a filling. Financing is also available for qualifying patients, and checking whether you qualify will not affect your credit score.
