Permanent tooth replacement
An implant is a small titanium post that takes the place of a missing tooth root. It sits in the jawbone, fuses with it over a few months, and then carries a crown that looks and works like the tooth you lost. Nothing is clipped to neighbouring teeth and nothing comes out at night.
For patients in 77079 that usually means one of three situations: a single tooth lost to a crack or an old failed root canal, a gap of two or three teeth that a bridge would otherwise cover, or a full arch where dentures have stopped fitting. All three are handled at 955 Dairy Ashford.
What tends to matter most to people who call us is the part before treatment. You get a 3D scan, an honest answer about whether an implant is the right choice for your case, and the full cost in writing — including the graft, if you need one — before you agree to anything.
One post, one crown. The neighbouring teeth are left completely untouched, which is the main reason we prefer it to a bridge when the bone allows.
Most common case
Two implants carrying three or four teeth across a gap. Fewer posts than one-per-tooth, and considerably less cost, with the same fixed result.
2–4 missing teeth
Four to six implants supporting a complete fixed arch. It stays in your mouth permanently — you brush it, you don't soak it in a cup.
A whole upper or lower
Two or four implants that a denture snaps onto. The most affordable way to stop a lower denture rocking, and it still lifts out for cleaning.
Budget-conscious option
Start to finish
Implants are a staged treatment, not a single appointment. Here is the order it happens in and roughly how long each part takes.
One visit · about 45 minutes
We examine the site, take a 3D cone-beam scan and measure the bone. This is where we find out whether you can go straight to placement or need a graft first — and it is the honest answer, even when that answer is that an implant is not your best option.
Same visit
You leave with the sequence, the timeline and the total in writing. If you have insurance we verify your benefits first; if you don't, we go through the membership plan and the financing options with you.
One visit · 60–90 minutes
Dr. Gandhi places the post under local anaesthetic, with sedation available if you want it. Most patients go back to work the following day and manage with over-the-counter pain relief. If a graft is needed it usually happens in this same appointment.
Typically 3–6 months
The bone grows onto the implant surface and locks it in place. There is nothing to do during this stage except one or two quick check-ups. Where it matters for appearance, you wear a temporary tooth throughout — you will not be walking around with a gap.
Two visits, a few weeks apart
We take an impression, fit the connector, and Dr. Rosario matches the crown to the shade and shape of the teeth beside it. This is the appointment people are usually surprised by, because the tooth simply looks like a tooth.
Ongoing
An implant is cleaned like a natural tooth and checked at your regular six-month visits. Looked after properly, the post itself often lasts decades; the crown on top is the part more likely to need replacing eventually.
Dr. Gandhi places, Dr. Rosario restores, and they work down the corridor from each other. One team owns the outcome from scan to final bite check.
Bone grafts and sinus lifts are done here rather than referred out, which keeps the timeline and the cost in one place.
Nervous patients are the norm, not the exception. We'll talk through the sedation options at the consult and there is no pressure either way.
Benefits verified before you arrive, the full figure on paper before we begin, and no invoice at the end that you weren't expecting.
Open six days a week, so surgery and follow-ups don't have to cost you vacation days from the office park.
Both dentists and the whole front-desk team work in both languages, including for consent and aftercare instructions.
Before you book
Lifespans are typical ranges reported in dental literature, not a guarantee. Your own case depends on bone quality, gum health and home care.
What it costs
We publish what we can and quote the rest after the scan, because the honest answer to "how much is an implant" depends on whether you need a graft. Nothing is charged that wasn't on the written plan you agreed to.
Membership is $399 a year for adults, $299 for children under 14.
Most Common Case
These depend on how many posts, how much bone and which materials your case needs. You'll have the figure in writing before treatment starts.
Financing is available for qualifying patients, with an application that won't affect your credit score. Most PPO insurance accepted, and we verify your benefits before you arrive.
